Raice – selling disposable coffee cup lids made from rice starch. Globally, 16 Billion plastic lids are used per annum. Less than 1% of these polypropylene plastic lids are recycled due to the costs of separating, cleaning, and processing. Eventually, these lids pile up as plastic waste.

Our rice starch lid is biodegradable and decomposes within a few days or weeks. We have seen the evolution of straws from plastic to metal, paper, and even bamboo. We aim to re-design and re-imagine a brand new lid made of rice starch and revolutionise the lids industry.
