Role Description

You will witness our colleagues operating at every level of the business as an intern. Undertaking a Loizou & Co summer internship can lead to a full time offer of a place on the following year’s graduate analyst programme. Candidates must retain a genuine interest in the investment banking sector and possess a desire for business, particularly focusing on mergers and acquisitions, capital advisory and restructuring.

 

Qualifications Required

 

All candidates must have a track record of academic excellence. You must hold AAB at A-level and be in your penultimate year of study. Candidates should be on track to achieving a minimum of a 2.1 in their university degree (or equivalent if studying outside of the UK). As an Analyst, you will be required to:

  • Use valuation techniques to support our advisory techniques given to clients, including trading and transaction comps analysis, discounted cash flows, LBO-based and other valuation approaches
  • Develop and maintain financial models, either standard or bespoke under the guidance of the senior bankers
  • Research the industries which are clients are operating to provide our senior bankers with initiatives
  • Support the team by liaising with clients, their counterparts and other advisors and coordinating the transaction process
  • Develop your negotiation and relationship skills through exposure to senior bankers and client contact

  • Develop and maintain financial models, either standard or bespoke under the guidance of the senior bankers
  • Research the industries which are clients are operating to provide our senior bankers with initiatives
  • Analysing relevant macro-economic drivers while identifying assets with appealing valuations in a bid to generate consistent alpha with below-market volatility
  • Modelling the performance of your proposal in different scenarios and assessing hot it sits with our other portfolio investments
  • Develop your negotiation and relationship skills through exposure to senior bankers and client contact
