Zentii

Zentii is a London based start-up working on Digital Scent Technology. We make printers of scents. Our machine combines different scents and releases the mixture on paper strips for us to smell.

At the moment, the machine is found in pharmacies, supermarkets, and barber shops across London. Our focus now is to allow customers to use the machine to make their own perfume. Once they have found a particular mixture that pleases them, we reproduce that mixture in bottle format and send it to the customer’s home. Therefore, customers can have a personalised perfume delivered at their home for a very low price.

Having said this, Zentii is looking forward into the future. Our research and development department is working on further applications of our technology. The two main topics of research now are virtual reality and the food sector. For what regards the virtual reality realm, we are designing a virtual reality mask with a scent emanating feature, therefore the user’s virtual experience is enriched from the visual and auditory senses to include the olfactory sense. On the other hand, for what concerns the food sector, we are modifying the machine to accommodate the specifications of restaurants so that we can make scented menus, hence allow customers to smell the food before making their order.
